Hyaluronic Acid (HA)
Dermal Fillers

Consultation time:   Approx 15 minutes

Treatment time:       Approx 40 minutes

1 ml syringe:        £250

As we get older, the amount of Hyaluronic Acid our skin cells produce decreases and our faces naturally lose subcutaneous fat. HA can be applied topically, but by injecting it, we can target specific area’s of concern more effectively. HA restores volume where it has been lost, helps to maintain shape, and provides hydration improving overall youthfulness of the face.

The dermal filler brands that we use are safe, FDA approved, and from reputable companies that have long track records within the health and beauty industry.

What is Hyaluronic Acid (HA)

HA is a substance which occurs naturally in the cells of the skin of the human body making it safe with no risk of allergic reactions. It has the ability to hold up to 1,000 times it’s weight in water, resulting in your skin appearing and feeling hydrated, healthy and radiant. The HA fillers we use are non-animal based clear gels.

How does it work?

The filler works by replacing lost volume to the skin, plumping areas that have lost definition, and smoothing out indents and lines.

What is the downtime?

Filler injections require very minimal downtime, allowing patients to return to work and their normal activities immediately. However, individuals may be instructed to refrain from strenuous activities and excessive sun or heat exposure until the next day.

Does it hurt/Is it painful?

Each patient has a different pain tolerance; however, we do everything to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. A numbing cream is applied to the area prior to treatment. Also, the fillers we use contain Lidocaine, a local anesthetic, there should be little pain or discomfort while receiving the treatment.

How soon will I notice results?

The results should be apparent immediately after the treatment.

How long will results last?

The dermal fillers we use are semi-long lasting as they are made from HA, which breaks down and is absorbed into the skin after approximately 6-12 months. The longevity varies from individual to individual depending on the persons requirements and individual conditions. Treatment may be repeated every few months to years to soften the signs of ageing.

Can Dermal Fillers be removed if I don’t like the results?

HA fillers such as Revolax can be dissolved quickly by using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This disperses the HA, and thus, speeds up the breakdown of the dermal filler.

As with any injections, there is always a risk of bruising and if that happens, it can take between 5-7 days to clear. It is best to avoid exercise, alcohol and blood thinning supplements, like Vitamin K and Omega 3 at least 24 hours before and after your treatment to minimise the risk of bruising.
